1. EARTHQUAKE INFORMATION
RTSP INDIA detected an earthquake with the following preliminary information:
Magnitude: 6.4 Mw(mB) (Moderate)
Depth: 51 km
Date: 14 Nov 2012
Origin Time: 1902 UTC
Latitude: 28.94 S
Longitude: 71.01 W
Location: Near Coast of Central Chile
2. EVALUATION
This earthquake happened near coastal region of Near Coast of Central
Chile. ITEWC INCOIS will monitor sea level changes near epicentral
region and report in case of tsunami threat.
3. ADVICE
This bulletin is being issued as advice. Only national/state/local authorities
and disaster management officers have the authority to make decisions regarding
the official threat and warning status in their coastal areas and any action to
be taken in response.
For more detailed information, please refer to the advisories issued by
respective National Tsunami Warning Centers (NTWCs) of IOTWS member states.
